Grab your binoculars and join us for an exploration of the beautiful Poff Ranch. This 1235-acre working ranch, purchased by the District in partnership with the State Coastal Conservancy, features amazing views from Wright Hill, extensive wildlife habitat, future trail connections, and local 'agriculture in action.' On our hike we'll be joined by avian expert 'Duck' Dave Barry, who will help us identify all things feathery. 7.5-8 mile hike with 1000 ft. elevation gain; BYO picnic lunch; 10-3pm

The Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation & Open Space District protects land in Sonoma County and LandPaths connects you with that land. This program is made possible though a partnership between the District and non-profit partner LandPaths. It is sponsored by the voters of Sonoma County who funded the District's work with a quarter-cent sales tax, and is coordinated & guided by LandPaths.

Join us for a tour and stewardship project at the Open Space District's Dogbane Preserve (just north of Santa Rosa). On this outing, we will first learn how to make string from the Dogbane plant (as Native Americans in California have done for centuries) and learn why this cultural resource is being protected by the Open Space District. During the last hour we will steward the land and help the dogbane plant spread by clearing away the blackberries encroaching on this stand. Hands on demonstrations; families welcome

Hike, bike or horseback ride at the 1,100 + acre Taylor Mountain Regional Park & Open Space Preserve. Permits are issued after a one-hour orientation on the property.

LandPaths is partnering with the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation & Open Space District and Regional Parks to provide interim permitted access for Taylor Mountain while the master plan is being developed for this property. Once you complete this short orientation, you will be issued a permit that will allow you to hike, bike and horseback ride on a portion of the property.

The orientation will involve sitting or standing while LandPaths staff goes over the details of the program. You are welcome to bring something to sit on if that will make you more comfortable. Please note that dogs are not allowed at Taylor Mountain as part of the interim permitted access program.

Though permits are free, please consider making a donation to support LandPaths work to keep Willow Creek open and stewarded.

Hike, bike or horseback ride on the 3,300-acre Willow Creek State Park unit near Duncans Mills. Permits are issued after a one-hour orientation on the property. See program description and application forms below.

State Parks has asked LandPaths to assist in providing interim management and permitted access for this 3,373-acre addition. Once you complete this short orientation, you will be issued a permit that will allow you to hike, bike and horseback ride on the property much as you would any other State Park.

The orientation will involve sitting or standing while LandPaths staff goes over the details of the program. You are welcome to bring something to sit on if that will make you more comfortable. Please note that dogs are not allowed on the trails at Willow Creek per State Park rules and regulations. Thanks for your cooperation.

Details, Details:
• There is no cost for this orientation or for the permit; however donations are welcome and are critical to keeping this park open to permitted use.
• Funding in part for park operation and public access made available through the California Coastal Conservancy, the Sonoma Ag. Preservation & Open Space District, and donors like you.
• You will be asked to sign a liability waiver and to fill out a Willow Creek Permit Application.
• No restroom or water at property, but there is ample diverse topography. Closest restroom is in Duncans Mills next door to Gold Coast Coffee, which is wonderful place to pick up tea/coffee and snacks!
• No pets or smoking are permitted and absolutely no smoking pets!
• The orientation site is often cold this time of year - warm clothes and hot drinks may be advised!

What to bring: Your completed application form (see below for program description and map). Please bring a pen, something to write on, and a chair and/or blanket to sit on (otherwise you will be standing).

Where: We will meet at the "Freezeout Flat" Willow Creek Park entrance off Freezeout Road, just outside and southeast of the town of Duncans Mills off Moscow Road. Take 116 west to Duncans Mills, turn LEFT on Moscow Rd go through town and across the bridge, immediately as you exit the bridge look for Freezeout road on your Right hand side. Turn RIGHT (south) on Freezeout Road (immediately after the bridge) and look for the 2nd gate on your left; proceed through gate to parking.

Venga con nosotros a descubrir la Reserva Ecológica de Bohemia. Caminaremos para explorar la propiedad, comeremos al aire libre y platicaremos sobre el futuro de este tesoro de naturaleza y las oportunidades que existen para acceso e involucramiento.

La propiedad, ubicado justo al norte del pueblito de Occidental, es increíblemente hermosa y muy diversa, con vistas extensas, el arroyo "Dutch Bill" y un salto de 25 pies escondido dentro de un bosque. No podremos explorar todo, pero lo que veremos será impresionante.
Platica en Ingles, con personal bilingüe para atender a participantes cuya lengua materna sea el español.
Paso moderado - bueno para las excursionistas con experiencia y/o energía.

Join Bill and Dave Hikes & help save Sugarloaf Ridge State Park. They will be collecting individual $25 donations for this very worthwhile cause. All money collected will be deposited in a special account at Exchange Bank earmarked for SLRSP only. Checks should be made payable to "Sugarloaf" and will be collected at the lower gate when you first enter the park. State Park officials will allow the park to be open for our hikers only. We thank you in advance for helping to keep the park open that we all treasure deeply.

¡Traiga sus zapatos duros y unos binóculos para poder subir la montaña un poquito y averiguar si pueda ver su casa! Una actividad buena y sana para toda la familia.

Mientras caminamos ofreceremos la orientación para obtener un permiso y llave gratis. Usted tendrá acceso a la montaña siete días de la semana para ir a caminar, o montar en bicicleta o a caballo, ¡y con hasta 3 invitados con usted!

Por favor traiga ropa y zapatos adecuados para caminar, para el frío o lluvia, porque iremos "llueva o truene." Traiga agua y algo para comer y compartir.
